Resume Donkey Integrates Facebook Connect

December 19, 2008 · Print This Article

We’re excited to announce that Resume Donkey has just integrated Facebook Connect in to our blog. This means that you can login to Resume Donkey using your Facebook account. This makes leaving comments and posting links super-easy on Resume Donkey.

How do you login to Resume Donkey comments using Facebook Connect? Simple.

  1. Click the “Login with Facebook Connect” button
  2. The site will ask you if you want to connect with Facebook, click yes.
  3. Enter your Facebook user name and password
  4. That’s it! You’re logged in and ready to leave a comment

Once you’ve left your comment, Facebook will ask if you’d like to post your activity to your Facebook feed.  By doing so your friends on Facebook will see that you’ve left a comment here on our site.  Plus you get our cute little donkey icon in your feed, which is a plus.

I’d like to give a big shout out to our friend Beau Lebens who integrated Facebook Connect on Resume Donkey.  You can see his full, technical overview of how he did it.  I call it magic.  It works perfectly and he did it quickly, with lots of communication and professionalism.  He’s a WordPress guru, and I highly recommend seeing if he’s available for any WordPress projects you may have.

That’s the news for the day!  Remember, Resume Donkey is all about using social media and good, old-fashioned resume crafting to help you find a job.  So login, leave a comment and use your Facebook profile to do so. Give it a shot, and let your friends know that you support people finding jobs with Resume Donkey.

Nice job! I am using a similar plugin on my blog, http://www.cottonrohrscheib.com and since implementing it, I have seen an increase in traffic. I really like how your solution operates!

Just checking out how facebook connect works on this resumedonkey.com site. Am still a bit fuzzy as to how it works. Shall leave a comment here and investigate what happens.
    Thanks resumedonkey for the example.
